April 18, 2022 - Ephesians 2:7
“So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:7 NLT
Lord, we thank you for your grace and kindness to us. It is such a beautiful thing. We praise you that you chose to create us and gave us free will. You knew that by giving us free will that we could choose sin over your love. You knew that we could choose to walk away from you. You knew the pain that could cause you if we chose to walk away, yet you loved us enough that you still gave us free will. You allow us to choose to love you. Lord, we want to say that we choose you. Help it not be just in words, but in actions. Help us remember at every decision that we make between right and wrong to choose loving you and not sin. It is so painful to think about the times that we have allowed our selfishness to win by choosing sin over you. Please forgive us. Help us increase our love for you and our desire to love you with all that we are.
Lord, we want to live our lives in a way that will bring you glory for generations to come. We want to see you use us to do great works in the lives of others. Help us make your name known. Help us usher your glory into the world that you have placed us in. Help us be willing to step out of the boat and walk on water with you. We never want to be limited by what we think is possible in the physical realm, but we want to be willing to trust you for the impossible on a daily basis. It is through your grace all these things have been made possible to us. We want to demonstrate your grace not only to the world around us, but we want to live it out in a way that the stories are told for generations to come. Not for our glory, but for yours, our Lord!
In Jesus name, amen.
