April 13, 2022 - Colossians 1:16
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16 NIV
Lord, we thank you so much for all your creation. You have made such a massive variety of things for us to enjoy and discover. You took such effort to create with such detail and beauty. You made no mistakes. Everything was created perfectly for its purpose. We praise you for the intentionality that went into all your creation. Lord, we thank you that you made each one of us for such a time as this. You gave us our bodies, our minds, our personalities, our spirits, and our souls. You made us just the way you wanted. Then you breathed life into us. We praise you for the privilege and honor it is to be one of your masterpieces.
Lord, we praise you for the beauty that you placed around us. We praise you that you are still working daily to bless us with things such as the gorgeous sunset and sunrises you paint for us. You are an amazing artist. You have such an imagination and so much creativity. We thank you that you gave us so much to look at and explore. And we only have access to one little portion of your creation. We look forward to spending eternity exploring and discovering more about you and your creation. How marvelous you are to us!
Lord, always help us remember the beauty of your creation that you have blessed us with. We don’t want to focus on and be brought down by how sin has tainted your creation. We don’t want to allow this fact or our culture to drag us into having negative attitudes about ourselves, you, or any of your creation. Forgive us for this. Help us learn to focus on the positive and praise you that you have overcome. We want our attitudes to light up and bring joy to the world around us.
