April 12, 2023 - Mark 11:22-24
“Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I speak to you: Whoever says to this mountain with great faith and does not doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done. This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours.” Mark 11:22-24 TPT
Lord, we want to be known as people of faith who are used by you to do miracles. If you instruct us to tell the mountain to be thrown into the sea, we want to believe that you are going to do it. You are a God who does the impossible when we trust you to do it.
Lord, we thank you that you don’t change and the miracle stories we read about in the Bible are not only for Bible days. We thank you that you are still in the miracle working business. You are looking for people of faith who will believe you for those miracles. Lord, we ask that you increase our faith and courage to be people willing to get out of the boat and walk on the water.
Forgive us for the many times in our lives when we have walked in unbelief. Especially for the times when we didn’t doubt your ability to do something but doubted your ability to do it through us. We thank you that you are not looking for people who are good enough, but you are looking for people who have enough faith & courage to do what you ask.
Lord, we also thank you for meeting us where we are and growing our faith. You didn’t ask David to kill Goliath right at the start. You started him off with smaller things and built up to the point his faith was enough that Goliath didn’t even faze him. Do that in each of us. Grow us, Lord. We thank you for the miracles awaiting each of us. I can’t wait until we get to Heaven to see how you used each of us to change the world.
