April 11, 2025 - John‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬-‭28

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:27-28 ESV

Jesus, what a beautiful thing to know as your sheep that we are known by you. We praise you for the eternal life that you have given to us. How wonderful that we never have to fear death. How splendid that we get to spend all eternity in your presence. What a glorious time that will be. We praise you for being our guardian and protector. You carefully watch over us and do not allow anyone to snatch us out of your hand. Even when we choose to wander away, you come after us. You will pursue us with your unending love. You are the perfect shepherd. You lead us to green pastures where we can receive nourishment. You bring us to the refreshing pools to drink. If we are injured, you care for us until we have recovered.

We ask for you to draw us near so that we can learn your voice. We want to know you as our shepherd and be quick to know any impostor who is trying to pull us away. Increase our desire for more of your presence. We want to stick close to you and follow you everywhere you lead. Grow our knowledge of who you are so our trust in you is great. We want to be able to trust you, even in the times that you are leading us places that look scary or make no sense to us. Help us to know and trust you without any doubt.
