April 1, 2023 - 1 John‬ ‭4:16 & 19‬

“We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them. Our love for others is our grateful response to the love God first demonstrated to us.” 1 John 4:16 & 19 TPT

Lord, we thank you so much for your love. It is so much greater than anything we can fathom. It is like the vastness of the ocean or outer space, yet even bigger. Love is as big you are; it is who you are. And yet your love is directed at us. Your thoughts for each of us outnumber the sand at the beach. That is just amazing. You see us. Truly see and know us. We are not overlooked or insignificant to you. Every detail of our lives matters to you. Wow, what an honor. Your love for us is so amazing.

Lord, we ask that you help us to truly live understanding your love for us. Let us walk in the freedom that it brings. It allows us to really live as the confident people you made us to be. Open our eyes more to see and understand your love. Let it work in us and transform us. Help us to really live in you and let you live through us. Increase your love in us to love others. Help us to see those around us through your eyes. Give us the strength we need to offer forgiveness and love even when it is difficult. Increase our ability to represent your love to everyone around us.

Lord, we thank you that your love is unending. We thank you for choosing to love and forgive us even when we are so undeserving. Thank you that even when we ignore you, walk in sin, or turn our backs against you, it is still there in unending measures. Help us learn to love the way you love us.
